June 20th Loch Ness

 Today we drive around Loch Ness not in search of Nessie, but our own adventure on Scottish backroads. And narrow they are. So glad we switched cars yesterday. 

It was an overcast day, cleared up in the afternoon. I will let the photos speak for themselves. With a couple titles.

The summit for this toad. You can’t tell from the photo, but it was windy and cold.

So not many shots of Loch Ness. Looks like many large lakes. Had to pay attention to the narrow roads. 

We stopped at the Southern tip of Loch Ness and had the worst meal of the trip. Not worthy of photos. 

Then we stopped at another town for dessert. I had a lemon cheesecake and Mary Ann tried a scone. I will let Mary Ann tell you whether mine are as good or not. 

Well I saw this sign above the entrance to the bar we ate at the night before and forgot to post it.  Now seems like a good time.

Back in Inverness for the night. Tomorrow we leave for the Isle of Skye.
